The Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons would like to see the giant skeleton puppets in the L5P Halloween parade ALWAYS! Being part of a giant skeleton ensemble in the parade is some of the best fun you’ll ever have in your entire life. Do it!
Yo! Skeletons! We know there are 54 of you out there. Rise up and march! (If you don’t want to wear yours, be a dear and loan it to a friend?) We are honored to have the Skeletons follow the city’s wildest community band, The Seed & Feed Marching Abominables! 2009 is the Abominables 35th year, and the Krewe’s 10th
Our Giant Skeleton Puppet Building Workshop will be held at a perfectly magical location—The Lake Clare Land Trust! Kids are welcome! The Land Trust is a safe and wonderful place to play. Kids under 12 need a parent to help them make a cardboard skull mask!
We will help you make your bones on October 3 & 4, 1-6 pm. $5 donation.
You will need to bring a 54” tomato cage & a big cardboard box. (East Atlanta Ace Hardware is stocking tomato cages for us.) Wear play clothes. Plan for hours of amusement finishing your skeleton at home. Please register for the workshop by sending a note of interest to c@gratefulgluttons.com
You can make a skeleton puppet yourself by referencing our How-To. Several folks did last year and they look great!
